Wow this is my favorite kind of family history, and the kind I aspire to write. I was very moved by their lives and immersed in their world, and learned so much about miners and mining!

This is a fascinating story that I really enjoyed reading. My forebears were coal miners in Nova Scotia from the 1870s to the 1950s. They also endured accidents, explosions, and industry decline after World War I. I don't have the detail about the different occupations that you do - I need to get to researching!
